Liebherr MK 140. A colossus on wheels.

Our first thoughts for the project Liebherr MK 140 was: “How do we create a video, that does this high-tech-machine justice?”. We also wanted to make sure of producing a new episode of Transformers! There already is enough machine porn out there…

Preparation is half the battle – our home advantage.

We connected the Liebherr MK 140 with the outdoor sports Climbing, wild water kayaking and Urban-Running. With this we transferred the human ability onto the mobile crane.

The focus was on strength, endurance, flexibility & dynamics. These qualities are also embodied by the biggest rotationtower (?) crane from Liebherr.  That was the reason why we as a film production firm decided to use outdoor-sports as a home advantage. Additionally we combined fast cuts with a powerful voice-over to open up the video to new audiences.

MAKING-OF: maximum flexibility.

“Maximum flexibility” – not only one of the most important USPs of the Liebeherr MK 140, but also for us as a film crew our most important/ impactful words to live by. While planning the production for the 60 ton heavy and 16 meter long colossus, we had to pivot from the planned route more than once. But there are road blocks for a reason…
